Tourism Minister Prasanna Ranatunga said that the Government has allocated Rs.23 million to provide tools and other necessary equipment free for cultivating flowers and plants for nursery and floricultural producers.
About 1,000 members of the Floricultural Associations will be provided with tools and other necessary equipment for free of charge.
Plants for the nurseries, nets, pots, seeds and polythene will be distributed among floriculturists.
The Minister said that more opportunities for the floriculturists will be provided to expand their businesses in the local and foreign markets.
