Sasiri is the first digital lottery of South Asia and it can be purchased as online lottery and as a printed lottery ticket.

The main objective of the introduction of this Sasiri lottery ticket is to make financial contributions to the Covid Fund established during the recent past to face the pandemic. Therefore, the profit earned from the sale of the lottery is remitted to the President’s Fund and it is expected to remit this money to Covid Fund from the President’s Fund. The first draw of the lottery is due to be held on October 14. Thereafter, draws will be held every Wednesday and Saturday and customers have the opportunity to win many prizes including cash prizes of one hundred thousand by matching three numbers.

Arrangements have been made to credit the cash prizes directly to the bank accounts of the winners, who are fortunate to be the winners of this Sasiri digital lottery. Further the prizes of printed lottery tickets can be collected either from the distributor or the Head Office of the DLB.

DLB said it will make arrangements to conduct this lottery going beyond the traditional systems and applying digital technology.
