The Kalutara District is under surveillance of the Public Health Inspectors on the instructions of Kalutara District Director of Health Dr Udaya Ratnayake for Covid-19 as four positive cases had been traced at the Horana Base Hospital.
The Health authorities in Horana and Madurawala had traced four positive cases from Horana Kananwila and Madurawala. They were related to employees of the apparel company Covid-19 groups. Ward nine of the Horana Base Hospital and another ward were closed temporarily. The occupants of the houses where the Covid-19 cases had been traced were placed under self-quarantine.
