Three members of the minor staff at the National Hospital, Colombo, have tested positive for Covid-19.
Health Ministry sources said Wards and an operating theatre were temporarily closed following the detection of the staffers with Covid-19. A female student of Sri Jayewardenepura University has also tested positive for Covid-19. Sources said that the undergraduate is a third-year student of the Management Faculty and a resident of Panadura.
She has been admitted to the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH).
A female student from Veyangoda, who was staying with the virus-infected student, has been referred to a PCR test, Vice Chancellor of the University, Senior Prof. Sudantha Liyanage said.
