The marathon, race walking and cycling events of the National Sports Festival which were to be held yesterday and today in Kataragama has been postponed.
Sri Lanka Athletics (SLA) has also postponed the first athletic selection trails (open category) which was scheduled to held at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo.
The vice president of the Sri Lanka Athletics GLS Perera said that the world Athletic Technical Official Education and Certification System (TOECS) level one course and examination that was to be held this month at the National Institute of Sport Science in Colombo 7 has also been postponed.
Meanwhile the senior and junior athletic championships scheduled for December are scheduled to be worked off according to SLA president Palitha Fernando. (DR)
