Under the auspices of the International Olympic Committee - Olympic Solidarity, the National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka Athletes’ Commission assisted athletes who were affected due to the COVID 19 pandemic.
Athletes recommend by their respective NFs and Athletes’ Commission, who are in a so-called “low income” group were considered under this project and assisted for their daily needs, training and nutrition for two months. Over one hundred athletes benefited through this project according to the NOC which said the distribution of vouchers to the athletes through the respective NFs was done on September 30, 2020 at the Olympic House.
