Sri Lankan Entrepreneurs Association set up in Qatar

Sri Lankan importers based in Doha have set up a Sri Lankan Entrepreneurs Association affiliated with the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Doha, Qatar. The vision of the association is to ensure a significant growth in Sri Lankan imports of quality in the Qatar market.

The association will promote imports from Sri Lanka to the State of Qatar by creating a link between importers in Qatar with Sri Lankan exporters and motivate the importers in Qatar to diversify the range of imports.

The Association will create a platform for importers in Qatar to raise concerns relating to the dimport business and find viable solutions with the support of the embassy of Sri Lanka and Qatar authorities. The Charge de affaires of the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Doha, Ratnasingam Kohularangan presented the affiliation letter of the Embassy to the President of the Association Prince Stephen recently.

Stephen said the association will connect all Sri Lankan importers and businessmen based in Doha and act as a platform to diversify and increase imports from Sri Lanka.

The General Secretary of the Association Ms Anoja Jeevani said that the association will connect potential importers in Qatar with the Sri Lankan exporters and authorities. The association will update the Qatar market trend to Sri Lankan exporters.
