Can you believe it’s been over a year since Hailey and Justin Bieber tied the knot? The couple just celebrated their first anniversary (congrats!) and Hailey marked the occasion with some fresh ink inspired by her musician husband.
Tattoo artist Mr. K, who works at celeb fave Bang Bang Tattoo in New York City, recently posted a pic of Hailey’s latest body art: a small, delicate “J” on her ring finger, obviously for the one and and only Justin. (She also had the word “beleza,” which is Portuguese for “beauty,” tattooed on her neck in a similarly delicate font and style.) It’s fairly common for people to get tattoos in honor of their significant other, and Justin and Hailey have matching tats as well.
Some fans spied that the “J” looks surprisingly similar to a certain ring worn by Justin’s ex, Selena Gomez. As noted by Page Six, Selena used to sport a sparkling “J” ring given to her by Justin back when the two were first dating, and while the two Js do look alike, we’re pretty sure it’s just a coincidence and not a sign or a clapback or anything of the like.
This is not Hailey’s first hand ink, FYI! In late August, she added a line of symbols to the side of her hand, and she also has a collection of teeny-tiny suns, moons, and stars across one hand. Additionally, the model has a plethora of small, sentimental tattoos across her body, including another very meaningful piece: her parents’ wedding anniversary, inked on her wrist in Roman numerals. It seems that for Hailey, tattoos are both a way to express herself and to remember the most important moments and people in her life — including, of course, her heavily-inked husband.
