Worldwide Covid-19 cases to hit 50 million

The US has now over 10,060,000 reported Covid-19 cases with over 242,230 deaths.

In the second place of the Covid-19 hit list was India with over 8,460,900 cases of which 125,610 people had died. Third-placed Brazil has 5,633,000 cases but more deaths than India at 162,200. The total worldwide figure is set to reach 50 million in the coming week. Yesterday it stood at 49,650,000 patients of which 1,249,000 died.

Sri Lanka was at 106th place in the worldwide affected list with positive cases passing 13,000 with over 30 deaths. However, more than half of those tested positive (55.51%) have recovered. Further 257 more people were tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday.
