Civil Aviation Regulations being maintained - CAA

The well-being of the aviation sector always depends on meeting the security and safety standards and it is the responsibility of the country’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to maintain it, a media release from CAA stated.

“The Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka is dedicatedly fulfilling its duty in maintaining the country’s aviation security and safety to international standards with the assistance of all officials during the current Covid-19 pandemic.

“The Airport and Aviation Services, Sri Lankan Airlines and Sri Lanka Air Force are also extending their fullest support to maintain the safety and security of the sector. “All these practices are carried out under the supervision of the Chairman of CAASL, Upul Dharmadasa and Director General Capt. Themiya Abeywickrama with the health guidance provided by Dr. Bimal Dias.

“Recently a quality test was carried out on the x-ray machines installed in the airport with the senior CAA inspectors Ajith Jayasekara, Ajith Devaraja and Isuru Wedakoon under the supervision of the Acting Additional Director General of CAA (for Aviation Safety Regulations), P.A. Jayakantha, the release stated.
