The newly built Ranaviru Udyanaya (Ranaviru Park) at Middeniya, close to the Middeniya Weva was opened by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa last week.
The Ven. Murunga-gasyaye Gnaanissara Foundation provided financial assistance to build it. In a brief message Minister Chamal Rajapaksa said that President Rajapaksa wanted immediate steps taken to solve the drinking water problem faced by the people of the area and also to take steps to declare the Middeniya Central College as a National College.
The Ranaviru Udyana has a children’s play area and jogging track.
