Afghanistan bowler Rashid Khan outsmarts Lasith Malinga

Afghanistan's young cricketing prodigy Rashid Khan won the award for the best T20 Player of the Decade outsmarting all other showmen in the most attractive form of the game including Lasith Malinga at the annual ICC player awards.

Khan, 22, learnt his cricket at a refugee camp in Pakistan and played his first T20 International against Zimbabwe as a 17 year old in 2015 to be adjudged the T20 Player of the Decade.

Virat Kholi is the ICC Cricketer of the Decade along with the ODI Cricketer of the Decade Award and Australia's Steven Smith was awarded as the Test Cricketer of the Decade.
