Nations Trust Bank (NTB) has enabled its credit card holders to open Savings accounts through the Nations Mobile App without the need for a physical visit to the branch.
The convenience driven service comes with the benefit of a contactless method of handling accounts with the new and upgraded features of the App, encouraging credit card holders to engage with the Bank safely. Credit card holders could open a variety of savings accounts through the Nations Mobile App depending on their needs.
The initial deposit amount to open an account will be debited to the credit card at the time of opening the account.
This feature that was exclusively offered to the Bank’s account holders until recently can now be accessed by its valued credit card holders, adding an additional layer of convenience to their banking experience.
Head of Cards at Nations Trust Bank, Niluka Gunatilake said, “Nations Trust Bank introduced the account opening feature through Nations Mobile App at a time when it was essential to transition from physical to contactless transactions. We are truly happy to now be able to extend these services to our credit card holders and furthering our promise to be at the forefront of digitizing banking services.”
The new feature includes facilities for customers to view all their banking products on one screen and register for card and account e-statements.
Credit card holders can also fulfill urgent cash needs with cash advances that can be processed straight through the App.
