Defence wing officers of the Indian High Commission, Colombo called on the senior hierarchy of Sri Lankan Security Forces recently.
The Assistant Defence Adviser (ADA) to the High Commission of India, Lt. Col. Puneet Sushil paid a courtesy call on the Secretary Defence, General (Retd) Kamal Gunaratne and Army Commander General Shavendra Silva.
The Assistant Defence Adviser communicated the congratulatory wishes of the High Commissioner and the Defence Wing on their promotion to the rank of General. He also held discussions to further strengthen and enhance the ongoing bilateral defence cooperation between the two countries in multiple domains. Mementos were exchanged following the discussions.
Capt Vikas Sood, Defence Adviser along with the ADA also called on Director, State Intelligence Service, Maj Gen T.S. Sallay and Chief of National Intelligence, Maj Gen (Retd) Ruwan Kulatunga.
