The Sri Lanka Navy apprehended 09 Indian nationals who were illegally fishing in northern waters on 09 January.
The Indian nationals were from 18 to 52 years of age. The Navy also seized a fishing trawler, fishing accessories and about 500 kg of fish.
The entire operation was conducted adhering to Covid-19 preventive guidelines.
