All rounder Dhanajaya Lakshan, has been picked by the Northern Warriors to play in the Abu Dhabi T-10 League cricket tournament from January 28 to February 6, at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium Abu Dhabi.
The 22 year old promising player Lakshan was named the best emerging player of the recently concluded Lanka Premier League (LPL) Tournament with his fine all round skills.
He guided Galle Gladiators to reach the final defeating Colombo Kings in the semi finals. He was the second highest wicket taker (13) in this tournament and was man of the match at the semi final game.
Earlier 12 Sri Lankan players were picked for this T-10 tournament but Lakshan was originally not named for this tournament.
However due to Nuwan Pradeep’s injury he got the chance to enter the Northern Warriors team.
