Kosovo’s Lorinda Kolgeci is The Miss Globe 2020

Representing Kosovo, Lorinda Kolgeci was crowned The Miss Globe 2020 on November 12, 2020. She bested 41 other candidates.

Kolgeci is the granddaughter of Albanian fashion model and singer Diellza Kolgeci. The latter was crowned Miss Kosovo in 1996.

Lorinda is also a model and an actress. She has worked with some of the best designers and photographers in Europe and appeared in the Kosovar-Albanian sitcom “O sa mirë.”

Runner-up to Lorinda as The Miss Globe 2020 was Matveeva Evgenia of Siberia. Naomi Chioma Anene of Ghana, Thawany Aparecida De Faria of Brazil and Rowena Lucero Sasuluya of the Philippines were the respective second, third and fourth runners-up.

Hosted by Miss Albania 1995 Hygerta Sako, The Miss Globe 2020 coronation night took place at the Olympic Park in Tirania, Albania. It was the 47th edition of the international beauty pageant held annually by Deliart Association, which is based in Tirania.

Sasuluya was voted as People’s Choice, Alie Sabine Van Der Lei of the Netherlands was Miss Social Media and Chimonay Botha of South Africa wasMiss Friendship. Miliausha Galimova of Tatarstan was Best in National Costume.

Ijada Baci of Albania was Miss Photogenic while Anna Ferreti of Spain was Miss Fashion. Joni Peci Store, one of the sponsors, selected Anene and Paidamoyo Moreblessing Mangi of Zimbabwe for a photo shoot project.

Laura Viviana Renteira of Colombia was named Miss Bikini in one of the preliminary events. Angelina Gorbunova of Russia won the talent competition prior to the coronation night.

The Miss Globe 2019 Alejandra Díaz de León of Mexico was present during the coronation ceremony to personally crown Kolgeci. The outgoing queen was crowned on October 21, 2019 at the Holiday Villages Montenegro in Ulcinj, Montenegro.
