Falls above 50mm expected at some places

Showers will occur at times in Northern, North-central and Eastern provinces. Fairly heavy falls above 50 mm can be expected at some places, stated the Department of Meteorology.  

Several spells of showers will occur in the Uva Province. 

Showers or thundershowers will occur at a few places elsewhere after 2.00 p.m. 

General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
