The AstraZeneca COVISHIELD Vaccine which is manufactured in India was administered at 100 hospitals across all 25 districts of the island, including Trincomalee and Jaffna. Frontline healthcare workers and personnel of the Tri-Forces were among the first to receive the vaccine.
