National heritage sites in Sigiriya, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa and other ancient towns managed by the Central Cultural Fund were opened after the international airports in Katunayake and Mattala started operations for air traffic. Here a group of tourists from Kazakhstan who visited Sigiriya on Friday under strict health guidelines supervised by the Sigiriya Police and the National Archaeological Department regional office. Special measures were taken to separate foreign tourists from the locals due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
