Women Empowered Global, a global forum for female entrepreneurs and leaders and the Gerety Awards, a global creative award, will conduct a global virtual summit for women to “Shatter the Glass Ceiling”, on International Women’s Day.
An online virtual summit will be held on March 8 connecting strong personalities from around the world on their mission to empower women. The summit will address dialogue on powerful topics such as “Beyond Women on Boards; How the gender lens can impact organizational strategy for the better” and “Breaking Down Stereotypes; The shift from gender specific to gender neutral consumer branding”.
The summit will feature internationally acclaimed speakers in two sessions. Session 1 will feature a keynote address from Women Empowered Global, CEO Senela Jayasuriya, and Gerety Awards Co-Founder Lucia Ongay, followed by a panel represented by Founder/CEO, Destiny Arise, Zimbabwe and Australia, Hazel Herrington, Head of Creative Shop APAC - Facebook, Singapore, Angela Bassichetti, Goodvertising, Marketing Activist, Author and Speaker – Denmark, Thomas Kolster and Group Chief Customer Officer, Dialog Axiata, Sri Lanka, Sandra De Zoysa. This session will focus on looking beyond simply including female representation on Corporate Boards and discuss the unique value propositions of women in decision-making positions, and how the gender lens can impact organization strategy for the better. It will be moderated by Founder & CEO of Women Empowered Global&WE. Global Academy, Senela Jayasuriya.
Session II will discuss the shift from gender specific to gender neutral consumer branding, what makes this transition so important (culture, stigma, empowerment), and how consumer markets are evolving around the world.
