Disability Resource Centre of the Employers’ Federation of Ceylon (EFC) will commence a 10-day training program on basic sign language. The program will be conducted over 10 consecutive weeks commencing March 2.
Sessions are scheduled for Tuesday and Thursdays from 2.00 p.m. to 3.30 p.m.
Online training will also be offered.
The sessions will be conducted in a physical-virtual blended learning model and the participants may opt to either follow the in-class sessions conducted at the EFC Disability Resource Centre or connect for simultaneous virtual sessions via the conferencing platform Zoom.
The sessions will be conducted by professional sign language interpreter of the Department of Social Services, Chammi Nishara Dias supported by Manager, Specialised Training and Disability Resource Centre of the EFC, Ms. Manique Gunaratne.
