Around 250,000 persons including state health sector employees, security personnel, police, private sector health, Colombo Municipality city cleaners, parliamentarians and several vulnerable segment people have been given the anti-Covid-19 vaccine while over one million people will be vaccinated in the coming weeks. There has been an overwhelming response from people towards this and it is a significant achievement by the Government, considering the fact that the World Health Organization disclosed that about 130 countries have not got a single vaccine so far.
