Golden Globes 2021: Chloe Zhao becomes first Asian woman to win best director

At the Golden Globe Awards 2021, Chloe Zhao made history becoming the first Asian woman to win the prize for best director.

Also, Zhao is the second woman to win the award when the first woman was Barbra Streisand in 1984.

Zhao is a 38-year-old, Nomadland director who was born in China and now resides in US.  Her win was celebrated on Chinese social media as well as Barbra Streisand herself congratulated.
