The headless body found in a suitcase in Dam Street, Pettah has been identified as that of a 30 year old woman from Theppanawa, Kuruwita, stated the Police Media Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana.
The suspect who brought the suitcases has been identified as a Sub Inspector (SI) attached to the Buttala Police.
During the apprehension of the suspect, the Police discovered the body of SI hanging on a tree in a forest nearby his residence in Badalkumbura with a bottle of poison in the vicinity.
