Heavy falls expected at some places

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Western, Central and Uva provinces during the evening or night, stated the Department of Meteorology.

Fairly heavy falls above 50 mm can be expected at some places. 

Few showers can be expected in Northern, North-central and Eastern provinces. 

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Central, Sabaragamuwa and Western provinces during the morning. 

General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
