Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Sabaragamuwa province and in Kalutara, Galle and Matara districts in the evening or night, stated the Department of Meteorology.
Mainly fair weather will prevail over elsewhere of the island.
Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Central, Sabaragamuwa and Western provinces during the morning.
On the apparent northward relative motion of the sun, it is going to be directly over the latitudes of Sri Lanka during 05th to 14th of April in this year. The nearest areas of Sri Lanka over which the sun is overhead today (05), are Thelwatta, Baddegama, Dediyawala, Mulatiyana, Agunakolapelessa and Udamalala at about 12.13 noon.
