An exhibition rugby match between CH and FC and Air Force will be played on August 13 to coincide with the re-christening of the renovated Maligapitiya ground in Kurunegala.
The two teams are also listed to play in a second match at the Race Course ground in Colombo that will mark the first time that a rugby match will be played in the country in almost 18 months since the school rugby season was terminated in March 2020 due to the coronavirus.
Sri Lanka Rugby said more than 150 club players have been vaccinated along with some 50 officials and referees in preparation for the Asian Rugby Sevens and other upcoming international events. (AN)
