Rice is our staple food. Rice comes from paddy which is cultivated both in muddy and dry fields. When paddy grows it has to be protected from insects. For this we use insecticide. They are poisonous. By pounding paddy we get rice. It is very difficult for us to live without rice. We are used to it from ancient days. Sometimes, we import rice from various countries.
