Sri Lanka’s first sports website, www.srilankasports.com, will be launching a special cricket quiz with a chance to win cash prizes weekly. The number one automobile service provider Merc-Stop has joined hands with SriLankaSports.com to float this project and will be the main sponsor of this project.
The quiz is aimed at improving the knowledge on the game among the cricket lovers worldwide. The first round of the quiz series will comprise three questions which will be one from statistics, another from rules and regulation and finally general knowledge question from game’s history.
The Merc-Stop Cricket Quiz is a pilot project under the guidance of a panel headed by pioneer cricket broadcaster Brian Thomas.
Shanki Dandeniya, the Managing Director of Merc-Stop Automobile Solutions, who came up with this novel concept said that she felt that the knowledge on the sport of cricket should be improved among the public as the game has been evolving lately with new formats and many changes to the rules and regulations.
The lucky winners will be selected weekly and given a cash prize to the equivalent of LKR 5000/-, credited to his/her savings accounts locally and overseas according to the organisers.
