The Rotaract Club of the University of Kelaniya organised ‘Prarthana 2021’ to help those in need during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The launch of this initiative was announced on the social media accounts of the club on August 5.
Donations of milk powder, tea, biscuits and adult diapers were requested. The monetary donations were used to purchase these items.
The Rotaract Club of the University of Kelaniya collected donations to the value Rs. 120,000 within the club and that too at short notice. On August 9 these items were presented to the Colombo South Teaching Hospital, Kalubowila.
The Rotaract Club sincerely appreciates every person who dedicated his/her time, money, and energy to sponsor this meritorious deed.
The club extends its heartfelt gratitude to Nishan Wickramarathe and Finlay Tea Solutions Colombo (Pvt) Ltd, Lalith Hemachandra and M.Y. Hemachandra and Company, Rtn.
