Maliban has strived to maintain consistent quality across its variety of products with the introduction of state-of-the-art manufacturing processes, good hygiene practices and quality raw materials.

With the introduction of international standards in Sri Lanka, Maliban was certified with the ISO 9001 Quality Management System in 1995, remarking as the first food company in Sri Lanka to obtain this certification. Subsequently in 1996, Maliban was also the first food company to achieve the National Quality Award. Maliban successfully won the same award in 2010 and 2015 consecutively.

General Manager Quality Assurance and Research and Development, Mrs. Varna Fernando said, “Quality  is not a new concept to Maliban. We pride ourselves in our state of  the art manufacturing processes and heightened quality standards to ensure we deliver nothing but the best to our consumers. Even with the onset of COVID-19 last year, we were able to quickly adapt and transform the way we operated, investing millions of rupees to ensure the safety of our customers and employees alike.” Maliban was bestowed the Global Performance Excellence World Class Award by the globally renowned Asia Pacific Quality Organization (APQO) for three consecutive years.

The two golden rules obliged by the entire Maliban organisation are to improve the wellbeing of society and to offer quality products to consumers. Through these two principles, the decades-old organisation intends to protect the uniqueness of its ‘Maliban’ brand name as it remains in the hearts & minds of consumers to carry it onto the future generations to come.
