Sri Lanka Under-19 poised for clean sweep over Bangladesh

Raveen de Silva produced a fighting innings of 88 in 100 balls as Sri Lanka defeated Bangladesh by one wicket with three balls to spare in their fourth Under-19 youth ODI played at the Dambulla International cricket stadium yesterday.

It marked the fourth win for the Sri Lankan youth team in the five match series with the last match to be played tomorrow at the same venue.

De Silva the number six batter anchored the innings in the run chase of a 225 target.

He struck nine fours and a six and added 58 runs for the seventh wicket with Vinuja Ranpul who scored 23.

Earlier the Bangladesh youth made 224 for eight wickets with half centuries by skipper SM Meherob (51) and Ariful Islam (50) as Sri Lankan youth skipper Dunith Wellalage was the pick of the bowlers with 4 for 45 .
