The shopping season commenced on Friday and it is better to start shopping now than later to avoid crowds and congestion. The next few days are crucial for the country due to the pandemic, Deputy Director General Health Services, Dr. Hemantha Herath said.
He told a press briefing at the Health Promotion Bureau in Colombo on Friday that most businessmen and the public follow health guidelines while shopping, but a some of them still do not follow health guidelines even after the past bitter experiences of Covid-19 waves.
