National Chamber to host Sri Lanka–Hungary biz forum

A 28-member business delegation from Hungary will arrive in Sri Lanka on January 12 to explore trade and investment opportunities in Sri Lanka.

The visit is organised by the Embassy of Hungary in New Delhi in association with the Foreign Ministry. The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka will hold a business forum with the participation of the visiting delegates on the same day, followed by B2B meetings with the potential local business partners at 9.00 a.m. at the Galle Face Hotel.

Key Speakers from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary and the Ministry of Trade of Sri Lanka, National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka, Embassy of Hungary in New Delhi, Sri Lanka Export Development Board, Board of Investment of Sri Lanka and the Colombo Port City (Investment Destination) are expected to join.

The visiting delegation represents product lines such as:

Agricultural industry: non-chemical pesticides, poultry (egg-layers and parents), ICT-smart agriculture; Food industry sector: Agri-food processing, milk, cheese, sprits, distillery.  

Environmental solutions sector:  Energy Industry: renewable energy solutions, Smart cities solutions, Water Industry: sewage water management, Environment related IT solutions: legal compliance management software, for environment regulation compliance, Hazardous waste treatment.

Healthcare Sector and Industry sector. 

Allocation of B2B appointments will be on first-come-first-served basis, due to the limited number of meetings that could be accommodated.
