Christmas is the festival celebrated by Christians all over the world. This festival marks the birth of Jesus Christ.

Christmas is ‘a red letter day” in their lives. The Christians decorate Christmas trees with illuminations as Jesus Christ is said to bring the people from darkness to light.

During this festival, Christians go to churches to pray together in praise of Jesus Christ. They wear new dresses and make Christmas cakes, sweets and different kinds of puddings for this special occasion. People hang star lanterns outside their homes on the eve of the festival. Children sing Christmas carols like Away in a Manger and perform various dances.

Children are especially happy and enthusiastic about Christmas as they expect Santa Claus to visit them and give gifts to them on Christmas Eve and the early hours of Christmas day .

Presents are placed under a Christmas tree. They are wrapped in gift paper and opened on Christmas Day. Christmas is a festival cherished by people from all faiths.

It reminds us of the importance of sharing and exchanging t gifts, living in peace and harmony with our family and friends.
