The death occurred of philanthropist and member of Ragama Parish, A.A. Laxman Chandrasri Fernando of 508, Gane, Ragama following a brief illness last week.
Born on October 26, 1938, he was the Manager, People’s Bank, Foreign Branch, Lake House. His wife Annet Souza predeceased him. He was the father of Lakshmini, an old girl of Good Shepherd Convent, Kotahena and Rukmal, an old boy of St Benedict’s College and Director of Genrix Pro Holdings.
He was the father-in-law of Capt Mangala Ranamuni of Royal College Group of 1984 and Sailing Master, Wilhelmsen Ship Management Singapore (Pte) Ltd.
The funeral of Chandrasri Fernando took place in Ragama last week.
