Due to the recent inclement weather and torrential rains experienced in Batticaloa residents of low line areas were badly affected their in their daily routines as the transport too was severely affected.
Over 842 people attached to 227 families in the Eravur Pattu, Manmunai South.
West Paddipalai, Poraitivu Pattu Vellaveli, Manmunai Pattu, Arayampathy and Kiran Secretarial division were the most affected by these continuous torrential rains for almost 3 days.
