Master Blasters emerged Cup champions in the inaugural SJPL (Sanath Jayasuriya Premier League) Under-13 30-over cricket tournament. Five teams from the Sanath Jayasuriya Cricket Academy participated in the tournament which began in April last year but was interrupted by the spike in the COVID-19 pandemic.
It resumed in December with the finals being held on January 11. Master Blasters defeated Lion Warriors by 42 runs in the Cup final while Colombo Cubs trounced Universal Kings by five wickets in the Plate final. Dynamic Spartans were the other team in the competition.
