Tissa Jayasinghe was elected president of the Kandy District Cricket Association (KDCA) when they held their AGM held at its headquarters recently.
Jayasinghe was a keen sportsman in Kandy and is an old boy of Dharmaraja College.
He has played cricket, football and hockey and was a track and field athlete as well.
Being a keen follower of sports he is expected to continue the good work done by the past president Roland Perera.
Janaka Pathirana who was secretary of the KDCA for over ten years was re-elected as secretary.
