Sri Lanka, as a country facing a dollar crisis, has the potential to utilize the platform of Mrs Tourism Sri Lanka 2022 pageant as the best alternative to successfully meet the challenge of discovering solutions which are unique to Sri Lanka.
The National Director of the event, Thilini de Silva, is overcoming t problems and hardships in the country to make the event successful.
The Sunday Observer and Youth Observer being the official media sponsor of the event had the pleasure of being a part of the auditions and talking to National Director Mrs De Silva.
Mrs Tourism Sri Lanka 2022 auditions were held on 08th May at Waters Edge Main Ballroom, Battaramulla. Officials of the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau, which is working hand in hand to make this event a success, were also present at the event. The auditions commenced with the participation of veterans and foreign guests from various industries of Sri Lanka.
Ovette Ricalde, the International Director of Mrs Tourism 2022 pageant, via a video conference call, extended his best wishes to the participants.
“The event featured a magical performance of ‘Angampora’ martial arts, which is a unique foreign attraction and a magic show too,” Thilini de Silva said.
Mrs Tourism Sri Lanka 2022 auditions judge board featured a few of Sri Lanka’s best personalities, namely; Sri Lanka Tourism Board Former Chairman Dr. Kishu Gomes, CEO of Fly Lanka Asia, Dr. Arosha Fernando, Kumar Dharmasena, ICC Judge and Head of Pinthanna Plantations, Human Rights Federation Director Mrs Shahida Hettiarachchi, Sri Lanka European Union Business Council Chairman, Mohan Perera and International representative, Sri Lankan beauty queen Mrs Nilu Senanayake including the National Director of the event MrsThilini de Silva. All participants were auditioned by the above judge panel.
