England were 21 for no loss at the time of going to press, chasing a target of 277 runs to win on the third day of the first Test match against New Zealand being played at Lord's yesterday.

New Zealand after making a first innings score of 132, did well to make 285 in the second essay with Daryl Mitchell (108) and Tom Blundell (96) keeping the England bowlers at bay.
