Protesters who occupied the Galle Face protest site for over 110 days since the beginning of their struggle to oust former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa vacated the venue. Over the past couple of months, the protest campaign attracted a large number of people to the protest site, Aragala Boomiya. Our staff photographer Wimal Karunathilaka captured this photograph of some protesters dismantling their tents at the site which is now almost deserted.
