Royal and Isipathana to face off in decider

7 August, 2022

Isipathana College and Royal College will feature in what could be the decider of the inter-school League rugby championship when the two schools meet in their last match of the tournament at Havelock Park on August 14.

Both sides are currently the only two teams that have played better rugby todate with Isipathana having won their five matches in the group stage and Royal edged out by traditional rival Trinity College in their only defeat so far.

But before Royal and Isipathana line up for the decider they play against Wesley and St. Joseph’s College the other two teams that qualified.

Royal are currently the defending champions and unlike Isipathana will be tested fully having met limited opposition unlike Isipathana in the five first-round matches.

Isipathana in contrast met and defeated St. Peter’s College and Wesley College to remain unbeaten.
