CHEC Port City Colombo showcases potential at World Cities Summit

CHEC Port City Colombo (Pvt) Ltd represented Sri Lanka at the World Cities Summit 2022 at the Marina Bay Sands, Singapore from July 31 to August 3. This biennial global event unites city leaders and associates from across 90 countries under this year’s theme, “Liveable and Sustainable Cities: Emerging Stronger.”

Port City Colombo envisions itself as the most livable city in South Asia imbuing technology and sustainability with its Smart City concept to enhance living convenience.

As the Platinum Sponsor of the event, the project company showcases the potential of Port City Colombo as a special economic zone and a future investment hub to representatives from Governments, thought leaders, experts and corporates from diverse industry sectors, who have converged at the World Cities Summit to inspire conversations about the future and forge new partnerships.

The three-day Summit is attended by Thulci Aluwihare the Deputy Managing Director at the CHEC Port City Colombo, where he will speak at the WCS track session on the topic, “How Can Partnerships Transform the Development of Cities?”.

As Sri Lanka battles several economic and political challenges, the project company focuses on crucial recovery efforts, pushing Sri Lanka towards the future by involving it in important discussions among global leaders and industry specialists.
