Match is a Russian award-winning movie which was released in 2012, directed by Andrey Malyukov. The movie is based on a true story where it takes us back to the Nazi occupation of Kiev in 1942, where goalkeeper Nikolay Ranevich and his Dinamo football team are about to play against the German players. The game is about respect and dignity, much more than it is about sport. While the Russians won the game, it also depicts the beginning of the war in Kiev and highlights the unrest that the locals went through.
