Isipathana rout Rajans 38-6

Isipathana College were unstoppable in their open play and routed Dharmaraja College by 38 points (6 tries, 4 conversions) to 6 (2 penalties) in their schools knock-out rugby encounter for the President’s Trophy played at the Royal Sports Complex yesterday.

But Dharmaraja too had the players who were able to hold the Isipathana forwards from making too much advances through their rolling mauls.

Isipathana scored their tries through MM Rashminda who touched down thrice, Dodangoda twice and Boteju once. Boteju also converted four tries to boost their scoreline.

Dharmaraja obtained their points from just two penalties put over by Sasanka and Wijesiri. They lacked finish to their moves and could not cross the line.
