St. Anthony’s College Katugastota beat S. Thomas’ College on the run rate in their semi-final played at Campbell Place yesterday to enter the final of the under-15 Division One cricket tournament.
S. Thomas’ batted first and scored 88 for 8 wickets in 34.1 overs and the Antonians replied with 41 for 3 in 14.1 overs when rain disrupted play.
Right arm medium pacer Kaushika Kumarasinghe claimed 5 wickets for 14 runs.
With this win St. Anthony’s obtained 2.01 points while S. Thomas’ earned just 1.48 points.
St. Anthony’s will now meet Nalanda College in the final at Thurstan ground on Tuesday.
