A championship known as the model cricket tournament 2022 featuring celebrities from several walks of life will be held today at the NCC ground. The event is organized by Dr Prasad Deshapriya, Chairman of P D Entertainment.
Eighteen teams will participate in the tournament including six girls teams and twelve boys teams.
Nearly 300 players will participate in the tournament.
The main organizing team of the event include Secretary Oshanthi Ranaweera, Legal Adviser Ian Fernando, Event Director M. D. Jayasuriya (Dilan Jay), Main Event Advisor Geethapriya Samarasinghe, Main Event Coordinator Lesley Kavinda and Main Event Coordinator Hilary Denipitiya.
Leading personalities of the film industry such as actors and actresses, sportsmen and sportswomen, hairdressers, make-up artists, beauticians, photographers, lawyers, doctors, entertainers, musicians, company executives and managers, gem merchants, cosmetic importers, TV personalities, supermodels and models, beauty queens, media directors, fashion designers and choreographers will participate in this tournament according to the organisers.
