Sri Lanka’s cricket allrounder Chamika Karunaratne who did yeoman service during the Asia Cup was made a brand ambassador of Prima Stella Dairy Products at a simple ceremony held at the Cinnamon Lakeside Hotel on Thursday.
Lawrence Chang Prima Group Sri Lanka Group General Manager addressing the media said it was a pleasure to have a star class sportsman as one of his company’s brand ambassador.
“It is a pleasure to have a star class sportsman as the company’s brand ambassador. We decided to select Chamika for this position considering his sporting talents shown from his young days hailing from a sporting family who has shown his prowess in cricket, athletics and badminton following his father and his brothers,” said Chang.
Deputy General Manager Ceylon Agro Industries and Prima Group Sri Lanka Sajith Gunaratne said the partnership with Karunaratne was sure to bring value to the organization.
“He (Karunaratne) has shown greatness in being healthy and an active person and a great example for the younger generation to follow,” said Gunaratne.
Speaking on the occasion Karunaratne said his father and three brothers were his mentors.
“I wish to tell all youngsters to get involved in sports and lead a healthy and good lifestyle,” said Karunaratne.
